July 9, 2013 By Editor Leave a Comment

New Orleans (July 2013) – The African Pride “Beauty & the Beat” Beauty Suite was the ultimate beauty lounge during the Essence Music Festival as over 500 people convened over the weekend at the luxurious Wyndham Riverfront Hotel on Saturday, July 6th. The “Beauty & the Beat” Beauty Suite fused a unique celebration of beauty & music from the 80’s to today. Guests received an exclusive hospitality experience sharing their digital hair journey powered by MadameYou.com along with complimentary make-up services, signature “Master of the Mix” Cocktails, an exclusive “Beauty & the Beat” soundtrack with headphones and a chance to win a 3 month supply of African Pride hair care products. MadameYou.com The African Pride Beauty Suite featured special celebrity appearances by Spinderella (DJ), Kelly Price (TV One’s R&B Divas), AJ Johnson (Actress “House Party”, “Baby Boy”) and Mama Dee (VH1’s Love & Hip Hop). National beauty bloggers from HelloBeautiful.com, Lexi with the Curls, The Glamazons, Luv Brown Sugar and The Style & Beauty Doctor hosted the suite continuing the conversation surrounding African Pride’s nationally charged “My Pride. My Way” campaign. The African Pride “Beauty & the Beaut” Beauty Suite and “My Pride. My Way” campaign promotes healthy hair care, celebrating the individual style, innovation and beauty of all women because “When it Comes to Hair, We Write Our Own Rules.”
